They are in like crazy right now. If I kept the ones under 10”, I would have had my limit in 30 minutes. Took about 2 hours for my dad and I to get out limit of fish over 10”. Large fatheads and kastmasters.

I have never fished Navy Pier, do you need a dock/pier pass to fish there? I plan to go this weekend and take my 9 year old daughter. I had read a post about these passes/permits and not sure what they are for. Thanks for any advise.

Just have a valid Illinois fishing license and know the rules. 15 fish per day. Gut hooked, dead dink count towards your limit. DNR is out in full force this year and have already written a ton of tickets.

Just remember you get a ticket when entering the parking garage...you need to find the office of the parking garage in the east parking lot and exchange that ticket for a special $6.00 parking ticket and leave the pier before 10:00 am or you will be charged over $20 for your parking

Easy limit again today. Took more sorting and windier than yesterday. Still non stop action. Larger the minnows the better

I've heard it mentioned that Henry's has parking passes so you can park at DuSable and walk over to Navy Pier. But I can't figure out where to actually park at DuSable. Help, anyone?

Matt, If your thinking of doing that you better get there early as possible. There are only 5 or 6 spaces for the pass parking. They go fast. Saturday we were there before light and still had to pay $20.00 in the lot next to it. We left DuSable at 10:30 and some spots were open if you go later.

Where is the pass parking at Dusable. Can't picture a parking area that small.

Parking at the Pier is Free, tomorrow only. All other days they have a fisherman's special 05:00 to 10:00 for 6 Dollars. you need to go to the little office in the East Garage with a RED Door. They will give you a different ticket that your take to the Machine in the Lobby or pay with Cash or Credit card at the gate.

My desk at work is on the 26th floor of the east side Hancock Tower and the lake has been looking blue and flat all day today. Absolutely amazing sunset going on right now. A huge difference from before I took off for Christmas, when it was chalky for about 3-4 weeks straight. Headed out to Chicago Light on the 'yak tomorrow morning for lakers and may drift into the slip to see if any perchies are still around. Will report back!
