With a little time on my hands....going through the spoons and jig's that go beyond basic pounding or quivering/jigging... like my good friend MikeF has stated... this is getting like an obsession... separated them and now they are waiting for ice to form... these take a stiffer rod to work properly...but deep basin slabs respond well.... picked these up for a buddy that loves to use wax worms....I'll let you know if they work out for him...no need to hunt for fresh bait...have them at the ready in your bucket or pocket some new to me CJS ...took the picture showing the lure colors that looked good to me... another choice from CJS...great first ice slow dropping baitfish imitation last year saw some use from these guy's....need to film with the aqua view to see the wings in action... wing's open... don't know the name of this guy...heavy for it's size...left a few of his brothers in the trees on Castlerock.... The large Rapalas...fall crappie and middle /first ice walleye and crappie picked these up at the Milwaukee ice show....perfect size for that lake that huge crappie had baby bluegill/crappie in their bellies the work horse of the arsenal...summer/fall/and through-out the ice season....I carry one pre-rigged the entire season out on the ice....huge crappie swallow them...bring the pliers.... got turned on to these with Anyluck fishing that Bay way up nort'...w/Highlander...they work well in the stain of the flowages for us also work well for crappie on the flowages...smaller than the walleye presentation...bottom righthand corner...don't know the name or brand ...he looks cool, just hope to connect with some fish on it this year...

Feeling sorry for those slabs. They don't know what's in store for them. Do you fish Mazonia or Mississippi backwaters around lacrosse?

I fish Mazonia and Mississippi River around LaCrosse. I would be happy to show anyone around at either location. River is great perch and bluegills, and Mazonia is huge bluegills and a few Crappie if you know where to fish. Always looking for ice fishing partners.

Mazonia should freeze hard this year. Will have to check regs and see when open this year. Will be on Mississippi River this week.

These are Russian hooks, used for perch and walleye. I am making some smaller versions this year and will let all here know how they work.
