Has anyone been out to Desplaines or Iroqouis lately? From the looks of the DNR website the pheasant program is on its way out. Looks like no one is buying the permits.

was at Des Plaines on black friday. judging by the 150 folks that were out there, id say the program is very much alive. for now.

Des Plaines has been packed every time I've ever gone out there. In my experience, Iroquois always has stand-by permits available.

Most people buy the stand by permits and they don't sell them within 24 or 48 hours online (forgot which one). Most people just do the stand by hunting since there are usually spots open day of. I remember going to Des Plaines one day and it said they had 24 available permits available the day before. The "sweat line" had to be 70 people long. I think its still quite alive.
