I would recommend going to Port Clinton, there is a bait and tackle store there called Fisherman's Warf 419-734-9002 they have everything you need and also have single slot charters so they know where the fish are. I've stayed at the Our Guest Inn & Suites. It is clean, and reasonable. Have a great trip!

I’ll be going with a guide the last weekend of June. I’ll post and let you know how we do and how we did it. Typically we troll crawler harnesses and smoke them.

As summer goes on bandits( blue chrome, fruit dot, IB frozen my favs) and snap weights to get deeper or dipsey divers and spoons start producing. Crawler harnesses will always bag fish too and if conditions are right you can just drift along with bottom bouncers. I like about 1 mph and slow death rigs- blue, purple, orange tiger all produce . There's so many fish out there right now- I'm hoping I can get out there soon.
Really the only thing that can stop you is a big NE - E blow. Anything above 10 mph out of the NE and it's nasty. Good luck post results
