Went to the Illinois with GDN1 today for a change from perch fishing. We tried the 39 bridge, snag hole and a few spots in Peru without much luck, one keeper out of ten fish.Alot of hits from little shakers. Most action was in 18-20 fow, water temp was 35 degrees and clarity good.I probably wasted too much time fishing deeper water.

A good day regardless. Well, maybe not the Mud Pit part.

Thought I saw you out - I fished from 39 down to peru, then pulled out and went to Ottawa with same results, enough shorts to keep it interesting but only 1 solid keeper to show. Seems the fish where sluggish, had a lot of side hooks and bottom hooks, like the fish could not find the bait even thought the water was relatively clear, then when hooked didn't put up much of a fight. Did get 2 white bass and 1 catfish in 22FOW which was a surprise. Beautiful day though so can't complain.

Did anyone get out the Thursday 12/20? That looked like a perfect day, plenty of overcast with a little rain and fog.
