Okay Denny Duck- Here's a Sammwich for Ya! This is just to demonstrate what cha can bring along with ya fishing for a small snack. I have found it a necessity for me ‘cause most times I don’t catch any “shore” lunch- so it’s a simple matter of self-preservation. And, if ya do catch some shore lunch the sammwich serves as a great little appetizer. P.S. A few brownies are good to take along too for a little desert-

Why the picture of the single serving sammich? Where is the big one?

Does seem fitting for an ice outing with the olive "fins", with the head and tails cut off. Those red things, are those the guts of the fresh caught shore lunch?

how did I know there was gonna be a sammich pic on this thread? Pops..it is a Bubbalouie bomber...not an ice team bomber!!! If it was for more then him...you would need the ATV to get it on the ice!!!! and then when he brought it over...water would be coming out of the holes!!!
All I have to say is.....another one of Bubbalouies fine creations!!!!

That almost qualifies as a sammich. Where's the pepper rings? Pickles? No roast beef?! <- Disqualification right there.

Roast beef- yes, Turkey yes, Ham yes......two cheeses, yes....ya can anything ya want. but I'll let you in on a secret- the one thing that completely makes a bona fide Sammich is Roasted Sweet Peppers!! Learned that back in oh, maybe 1976, year I was born..well, no... but my one of by best buddies said, "Here try one of These Sammiches" - and now you know the rest of the story-

As you can tell I scrolled thru a lot of threads. There is a difference between a sandwich and a true Sammich.I got the meats, vegetable's,cheese, herb's and butters dialed in.Served cold or carefully heated on a grill.I have learned a lot on this site. My problem-What type of Bread? Appreciate any help,my bread has been my downfall to creating a proper Sammich-

I am so close to a true Sammich. Been practicing making my own bread. Learned how to layer the sammich. The correct veggies and where to place. My question-What sammich Sauce? Durkee? Woebers? Dietz and Watson? Other? I am lost, asking my mentors or all for for help-

I look at that pic of the B Bomber and still think it looks photo shopped. Not so. Just the angle looking down makes it look bigger... but it indeed overlapped on both sides of that minnow bucket.
Gaff, I know u are a culinary expert and will probably realize the ultimate in a sauce will be in the creation of your own recipe...starting with a good base and testing small increments of the proper herbs. Once done you will have a concoction that you yourself will love.
I’ve simply used mustard, horseradish mustard, a std Russian, French, mayo or red wine-vinegar depending on the meat and condiments utilized. I believe the condiments supply most of the great taste so I never found need to discover a good dressing. There are many good ones out there as u mentioned.
As I’ve stated, I personally love Roasted Red peppers on most all sandwiches. Banana pickles and black olives are usually required also.
I will look forward to seeing your final results though as I’m sure others will also. Keep us posted.
Thanks and Good Luck –
B.

Bubbalouie-Thanks for reply.Your tips are greatly appreciated.I will post and share so others can enjoy a Sammich while outdoors. I think I am going to try this 2 different ways now- Usual condiments or dressing on a cold Sammich. If I grill it,an oil based condiment or dressing which should give good flavor and keep the bread from burning ,offering a slightly crisp outside with heated fixin's inside. Again,thanks-
