After waiting for the weather to cool off and the storms to pass, I just got confirmation from Grinning Dog that we'll be looking for the night bite crappie on Bang's Lake this Friday. We're meeting at the ramp at 19:00 and will fish till ?? Saturday I'm going to try to find them with my buddy Rich. I'll post results from both trips. Hopefully we can get these fish dialed in.

Mike only sells "Lucky" minnows with a death wish :allah

I also heard about that rumored trip for tomorrow.... I also heard it was cancelled due to projected HIGH winds. Since this is basically a vertical jigging presentation around a bait ball, high winds tend to disperse the bait ball making the green light useless. Trying to fish tomorrow night would be a waste of time.

What? dag nabit. high winds ugh
Well it could be worse, my neighbor is pouring a new driveway( concrete) right now and it is raining out with really nice lightning and thunder, does anyone know what happens to concrete that has not hardened yet and is getting rained on?
This is a professional concrete guy doing this, not a weekend warrior, what a idiot.

I don't know much about concrete, but i am looking forward to hypnotizing some big crappies with Bud's magic green lantern. I'm planning on bringing along some Missouri Crankbaits (TNT) just in case it doesn't work. Looks like the weather is going to be perfect, 82* & low humidity, although 20* and 6" or more ice is my preferred conditions for fishing Bangs.

Chris,

The top layer of concrete will be "flaky". I think the problem is called "scaling". A professional did the same thing to me when I changed from an asphalt to a concrete driveway. What an idiot.

I think you are right Bud, I can see them now and they are working hard to make sure the Cream is setting up right. If they would have waited 2 hours they would have been just fine.

Ralph, are you guys going tonight?
If you are good luck.

Friday will be the new day for the trip canceled this evening due to wind. I'll contact those of you, who were going to join me, with details.
