I'll be taking the family up to the flowage early September and I'm hoping to get some ideas on where to fish. Targeting mostly Walleye & Crappie but we will be happy to catch whatever's hitting. Will be on the west shore if that makes any difference.

first of all... here's a link of where the local guide and others report on the turtle flambeau flowage, http://www.outdoors911.com/reports/foru ... .php?f=130. he posts regularly so just get a lake map, preferably the lakemaster one and fish the structures/depth he's reporting on catching fish. if this is your first time fishing the turtle, i recommend getting a guide, don pemble. he will show you good tactics and spots to use for your success in the future. some good spots are right under the powerlines where there is some fish cribs. also, follow the wind, probably one of the most important things when fishing the flowage.
