Hit that same local lake Friday afternoon...had an hour or so to spare. Man stopping there was the thing to do. caught 3 small bass 10-12 inch range. Last fish of the day was what made it worthwhile. Reeling in and theres a THUNK on the line.....not a real hard hit just major weight....another crank...FISH ON!!!! after a few minute fight....what do I pull out...a 24 1/2 inch largemouth bass!!!!!! this sucker had to go 8+ pounds....you could get your fist in its mouth!! and damn no camera!!! Released to fight another day!

So after that bass friday...gee I have to go back there again right? fished from 1pm till 7pm. another good call. caught 9 fish today. 2- 5+ pound carp off the bottom on a crawler....also a small gill same way. Hmmm wheres the bass? fished pretty hard and only picked up 3 small bass...6-10 inches. Casting keeping an eye on the bottom pole and WHAM...fish on....drags going this is no bass! after a few minute fight a nice 31 inch fat northern pike!!! now i know why the bass werent around!!! little while later as i'm casting around...there goes the bottom pole...after a nice fight i land a nice 23 inch channel cat. fishing is kinda slow again....bamm fish on....land a nice 25 1/2 inch northern. Good day here!!! But the fish of the day didnt get landed! a little while later theres another big thunk on my lure...WHOA this is a big fish...taking drag...rods bent big time...after a few minute fight fish takes a big turn and run...SNAP!!! breaks my line!!! Had to be another northern with the swirls and waves it was making it had to be at least a 36 if not bigger. All fish released!!!!

Great night Geo- but I bet that last fish was a Tiger Shark- they like to come out in the evening and eat careless fishermen- don't slip-
