Sorry for the late report guys. Was busy this weekend opening the pool for the kids. I had the day off on Friday so I took my wife and daughter to Shabby for the day. Great day to be on the water with sunny skies and low 70's. Water temps were 64-67 and the water clarity was the best I've seen in a while. A good 5-6 feet of visibility. Natural colors were the way to go. Started off throwing crankbaits in the morning and slowed down with plastics in the afternoon and evening since the bass were post spawn. We caught 15 bass during the day. Fished for perch as well hitting the outside weed lines. I brought one of my muskie rods to throw a few. I managed only one follow from a small 30 in limited time. All in all a great day to be on the boat with the family. Lake was not to crowded either.

Did you try for any crappies? Nice fish and a day on calm water with the family is always a good time.

I didn't try for any crappie. However, most of the boats out there were fishing for them over the brush piles, deep trees, and cribs. I saw a few in the shallows as well.

Are you allowed to launch a boat with anything larger than a 9.9 on the back ? Assuming you do not use it ?

You can run your big motor at no-wake speed within 150 feet of the launch to get on and off the trailer.
