In addition to the ponds off Short St (53 a little north of Maple/Chicago Ave/55th St), you could head up 53 almost to Butterfield and turn right into Hidden lake Forest Preserve. Couple of lakes there and a creek. I haven't fished there much, but I assume it has something.

Looking at Google Earth, it looks like there are a couple ponds by the Hyatt too (53 at 88). But I don't know anything about them or if you're allowed to fish there or not.

Hidden Lakes FP produced a few good bass for me earlier in the year. I also had a 30+ crappie day, also a few weeks back. The crappies almost exclusively came on small white jigs. The bass on a mix of plastic worms, Rapalas, and poppers. I haven't had any consistent luck there since early July, or any FP for that matter. Lisle has precious few decent spots.
