Really looking forward to some river fishing! Is there any places to wade right now?

Called around and was told a lot of the main river has opened up with the shoreline ice being the biggest obstacle. I imagine a bit high and dirty. Anyone with some firsthand reportsl on access or conditions?

The river is ready in kankakee. It's up a little and muddy we do have a flood watch but that is only from the meltdown. I would stay close to shore and only get In the water to fish the hole. I'm heading out Thursday and will let you know how it is. Also going out this week end, should be real good this weekend. Remember if you don't know what your wading please be careful. Muddy water can be dangerous.

I used to love busting through a few feet of ice to get out to fish. Kankakee and the Tippecanoe, but great at ice out.
