Thought I may have flooded it trying to start it with a low battery. Battery is now fully charged and I checked the plugs didn't seem wet but I changed them anyway. Brand New Champion plugs, but motor still won't start. It sounds good and like it wants to start. Got a full tank and charged battery. Calling around and of course hard to get service/repairs at this point in the season. Anyone know any mechanics(South) that can take a little time to check it out? It's garage kept so looking to use it until I can't anymore for the year. Very least don't want to put it up in this condition. Thanks

Can you squirt some gas in the carb and see if it will fire?

My only 2 thoughts are check fuel lines for proper connection and look for anywhere they might be drawing in air and make sure kill switch is connected right also.

If it were me i would try disconnecting the gas line, pull the plugs, crank engine over a few times , let the excess gas shoot out of engine. which it will! Put plugs back in, and re hook up gas line. then fire that bad boy up!

I have the same engine, I would recommend the above tips. If that doesn’t help shoot me a pm and we can chat about some of the things I have replaced and done to my engine. I’m the original own.

Agree. Honda Cat will help.
Being a 2000, I don’t believe you have a fuel primer on your engine. Prior years had them and they would occasionally stick causing the engine not to start.
