Help please. How do I disable the audible alarm for the check engine light ? I am tired of dealing with a false code for water in the fuel. ECM has been out for repair 3X. Comes back, all is ok , after 20+ starts, same thing all over. Thanks for any input. Bob M.

un plug it from the filter but best to get it fixed rite
usually happens because some one is being lazy and changes filter with out taking off the lower motor pan or removing the sensor before trying to take filter off or put it on bends and twisted the sensor where it goes down into the filter

Thanks Frank. I will give it a look, to understand what you are saying. What bothers me most about this that the people who did the work on the ECM confirmed there was "issues" with it. Other than the alarm going off, the motor runs fine. Bob M.

NOT UNCOMMON sorry to say
I have worked on a lot of stuff in my life time
and by far these evinrude fitch e-tecs g-2 what ever label they put on the latest version of the same thing
They are defiantly the most technically advanced outboards motors on this planet
Takes a different level of training and experience to fix them when some thing goes wrong let alone do normal pm work with out screwing some thing up . Some certified mechanics cant ever remove the covers properly with out cracking or stripping some thing

before some one gets on about this post I said some NOT ALL mechanics
