I hit Navy Pier on Sunday morning to try for some perch, but the water was all churned up so no luck.

On the way home, I stopped by my local pond to use up the minnows & wax works I had. I threw a minnow out under a float on my bass rod and a couple of waxies on my ultra light for some bluegill or crappie.

When the slip bobber on my ultra light went under, I knew it wasn't a bluegill! I pulled in this bad boy instead.

The 4lb line broke right as I got him up to shore but I was able to grab him before he swam away.

He's back in the pond to get bigger.
