After 22 years I need to part with my reef aquarium and I'm offering a price that is a small fraction of what it would cost to create new.

I've got it listed on craiglist for $1000 but will knock off $150 for chitown members. See the ad and pics at http://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/for/5916983659.html

This has been a very successful long established reef with many large corals. More than enough for a second aquarium.

Details --
58 gallon oceanic tank with stand
Coral life metal halide/compact fluorescent combo light fixture with all ballasts and bulbs
Protein skimmer, iwaki pump, circulation pumps, sump & plumbing etc.
Very new Spectrapure RO/DI 90 gpd unit with spare cartridges. This is about $200 new by itself.
Lots of hard and soft corals -- giant acropora, candy cane, bubble, mushrooms, live sponges
Approx. 120 lbs live rock
Approx. 100 lbs live sand
Sailfin tang & 2 clownfish, lots of stars, snails & hermit crabs
Tons of add ins -- salt, test kits, back up pumps -- basically everything I have accumulated over 22 years that would be useful.

Would make a great present and a great way for someone to get into reef keeping without the crazy costs of buying everything new.
