A lot of towns have public ponds that get stocked with cats.
Do a search for Bolingbrook/Woodridge park districts. You also have
Whalon Lake and a trout farm right there. I believe they stock cats there
post trout season.

Trout farm you need a "Bolingbrook Permit". Residence of Bbrook $25.00 per year, Non Residence $45.00 per year. I was at the trout farm Monday(for bait) all 4 lakes suffered a Complete fish kill this last winter. Aerators are now on and stocking of catfish will begin next month limit is 2 per day. Free option hit up the Desplains or Fox rivers they are both loaded with cats....

Dave Griffith at Dawn to Dusk Hunt Club in Valparaiso Indiana has 3 catfish ponds. It doesn't say so on his website, but he has them. I have no clue what he would charge. He used to let me fish there for free when I was a kid, but he definitely charges now to use them.

Des Plains River Burr Ridge, the south end of Madison st dead ends at the river. Lemont Rd where it crosses the river there are a couple of spots best place would be the Des Plains Conservation area 30-40 south on I-55 lots of water down there. The Fox anywhere you can find deeper water. Use google earth and go exploring.

Also, many of my best catfish ponds are public ponds or neighborhood ponds that people would never expect to hold fish. Just stop at a different pond every time you fish until you find pay dirt. Since there are many people who don't understand that taking catfish and others from neighborhood ponds really makes the residents angry (not saying you or anyone on this site does but I don't know you personally) and can ruin the chance to fish those ponds, I don't give out my spots to anyone so I can't help you with exact locations. Plus half the fun for me is the proud moment when you find a nice new lake/pond with some 6-10 lb catfish. Always great!

Good luck!

thanks pureg, I don't keep any fish. I always throw back to grow bigger.
I am not a bass guy, I enjoy the bigger fish like carp and cats. I have many ponds by me that hold nice bass but I am moving on to different fish now.

No problem man! If you haven't already give those bass ponds a try for cats on evening! I noticed that alot of lakes that hold big bass also hide cats!
