My best baits (in order or effectiveness)

cut shad
cut bluegill
whole shad
cut rough fish(carp ect..)
live bluegill
worm

RR choices of amination is pretty solid but I like soaking raw shrimp :D . Does wonders for me on the fox.

I like some of RR's choices for bigger fish. But for 2-5 pound channels, you can't go wront with liver.

I've always done well with cut bluegill and cut shiners/minnows. If you can catch the minnows from the body of water you're fishing from, then I think you'll have a better chance at catching fish. I have always done better with the caught minnows than the store bought minners.

thanks for all the info i went with a hot dog bait that my friend maid my second choice would have been gills though :D
