These fish were caught on the Fox Chain, just figured I would post here.

First fish was 8lb. 3oz.

Second fish was 8lb. 4oz.

Third fish was 8lb. 1oz.

All fish were caught on live gills and released. First time I have ever seen fish weigh that close....something new every night I guess.

How are you running the gills? Hooked through the tail bottoming fishing, suspending under bobbers?

I always hook them right behind the dorsal fin, in one side and out the other. Always make sure there are no scales on the tip of your hook when you come back through....it can cause you a hook up. I fish them on the bottom, near some sort of structure. It has taken me several years of trial and error to start figuring things out. You'll find that the majority of your cats will be channels though.

Interesting story about the 3rd fish. When we set up on that location, my buddy had a good hit that he snapped his line on upon hook set. As the night goes on, he hooks that 3rd fish on the same pole in the exact same location he lost hid rig in earlier. We get the fish in and it was the fish he lost, both hooks in the corner of the mouth.
