With a major drop in temp. almost upon us, I thought I'd go back to my usual wading spot before the front blows in. I've been throwing a #7 ShadRap almost exclusively and picked up my first white bass of the year. Couple of average smallies made for a fun time as well. On one of my last casts, the 'Rap just stopped cold. For about 10 seconds I thought I had a trophy walleye since there was no tell-tale smallmouth jump. Instead I fought this guy for close to 5 minutes on my ultra-light. An especially tough battle since he was hooked in the anal fin ( you can see the lure in the pic. ) and was facing away most of the fight. My main concern was to try and get my lure back as it was the last one I had. Mission accomplished. Hey, it wasn't what I was after but truth be told it was a helluva lot of fun nonetheless. Tight lines.

I fish; therefore I am.
