Here is the footage from my fishing report from the weekend. We caught some nice smallmouth and found some new honey holes.

Lots of nice bass. Looked pretty rural, looks like a great place to fish. Is that north of the chain of lakes?

Nice video! I can't say that I've fished a blade bait all that often and when i did wasn't too confident. I think I was just fishing too heavy a bait. If you don't mind what size was that? Got me motivated!!

nice video, thanks for posting!

just put a couple heddon sonar blade baits in my amazon.com cart to give them a try. my go to is a mepps dressed aglia, but with the spinner i don't really get down deep in the holes if it's a swifter current. probably missing out on some smallies hugging close to the bottom. which of the holes do you typically snap in to?

Smallies hug the bottom a lot, actually, but much of the time they have no problem exploding from the bottom to smash baits that are running higher in the water column. One of my favorite baits is a Mann's -1. I run it through fast current during the summer, and watch the smallies explode on it coming completely out of the water in a full breach to hit it. It's how they hunt the majority of the time, IMO.
