I've read about catching musky from the shores on the fox, does anyone have any tips, pointers, general areas to try out?

I have seen people casting for them at all the dams, below and above.
St.charles at the boat launch,and across where the launch the big ferry boats.
Fersons creek on 31 just of from the boatlaunch(boyscout island)
Just picked up a Trax 400 might just have to hits these place up.

Make sure you have appropriate gear for starters. Bass Gear WILL NOT cut it and can be harmful to the fish.

just tape over where it says "designed for bass" on the lures. Same thing for rods.

Fish Bass baits all you want. They work in many instances actually... But have gear beefy enough to land the fish in 45-60 second. Otherwise you may as well keep it and put it on the table cause that fish is likely to die 6-12 hours after release.

Intersecting thought, I watch quite a few of the fishing shows (lots of Saric) and see fish on much longer than 60 seconds especially when guys are trolling. Hell they hold them out of the water for pictures longer than 60 seconds.
