Took the dog to the riverwalk. The water is only ankle deep in some spots, middle of the river. Can almost walk it and retrieve all the tackle.

You ain't kidding chuck. We need substantial rain and bad. I was out this morning for a couple hours on the main stem and there's floating weeds everywhere to compound the difficulty fishing the low, clear water. Did get a half dozen with some okay fish. But had more bites from mosquitoes. Can't remember another time when they were this bad this late in the year. We need a bump up in flows and a drop in temps to really get the fall bite going.

Well not anymore. Now itks at the opposite extreme. With more rain scheduled it looks like it won’t be going down anytime soon.
