Climbed up into the east branch for three hours this morning, deep into mosquito country. Stopped to work about a 100 yd stretch that included two pools split by a riffle section littered with boulders and chunk rock. Got into the largemouths pretty good, mostly 12"-13"ers. But also got a tank, probably my PB on this river. She was a beauty pushing 19" and definitely an apex fish for this system. Totaled eight largemouths and two smallmouths, all on Gulp minnows on light jig heads.
