Got out on Saturday and found largemouths, smallmouths, and rock bass using a 1/4 oz jig/ 4" Berkley Rage Tail grub in pearl. Moved around a bit as a couple spots weren't fishable. Water was high on the main stem of the Dupe so backwaters and slack water out of the current produced.

Six smallmouth, two largemouth, and two rock bass were the totals. Got a wicked hit but missed it. Still looking for my first Dupage river pike :P

Nice fish. It's cool how you post what lures you use to catch these fish, keep em coming.

So, you're back on the Duper serving notice to the finned species. Nice smallmouth in that photo. I just walked my dog on the Naperville riverwalk and the river is low in that area but I di recon the river, yesterday afternoon and it was still a little high. Amazing how quickly it dropped. Told myself that I will hit the west branch tomorrow evening.
BTW, were there any hatches going on while you were on the river? Some can be pretty heavy and then the carp can be seen with their lips on the surface scarfing the bugs up.

You've got the bass dialed in. Its only a matter of time before you get a pike and a muskie.

Yeah chuck, there were bugs everywhere. Including mosquitoes. The west branch dropped like a stone but the east branch and main stem were still running high. I've heard tales of the Dupage River pike but they've eluded me thus far.
