Was itching to get out today, so as soon as the rain stopped, Copper and I headed to the river. Went 4/4 on smallmouth and had a nice surprise when a decent carp smacked my jig. All fish were caught on a white twister tail, casting with the current. This has been the first year I have been fishing the dupage. Each trip seems to get better and better. Was only out today for about two hours.

I have also had a lot of success with the Kailin's for largemouth and crappie at nearby ponds this spring as well. Twister tails are one of my favorite jigs to cast. I have caught pretty much everything on it. Great all around bait.

Some real dandies! The average size of fish looks to be up over the past couple of years.
