A Month is too long to let this Forum go without a post.
I was doing Ok on the Smallmouth till the flooded conditions changed everything up. The water levels are coming back down, but the river is still moving pretty good.

I wish I had taken the time to get a weight on the first smallmouth caught on easter.
The Largemouth was just caught the other day. Both fish were caught on 3"yum grubs in Tangerine.

Agreed. Nice fishes!!! I've been aroud the Dupe walking and watching but not fishing. Flooded banks and chocolate waters have keeping me away from doing it.
I'm seeing more and more minnows and crawdads in shallow waters which mean fish is around. I've been too lazy to get dirty these days :-)

flooded banks and chocolate waters are just another condition the fish adapt to . if fisherman adapt as well they can catch fish . I did today in those same kind of conditions a bit further south .

Water was back down to where it was around Easter before todays rain. I can tell because I'm back to snagging the same tree on the bank over and over again.

Got one nice smallmouth on the 3inch grub in the morning, then nothing. Downsized to a 2.5" Berkley Gulp-Nothing. Upgraded to a 3" pro series power grub (a lot fatter) and got a 14" Smallmouth that would have cleared the dam if he wasn't fighting my drag, and a bruiser of a largemouth that missed the hook the first time but came back for seconds.
