That sucks. Where did you buy it? Just curious because all my Diawa manuals have an English version.

If you can't figure it out, I can dispose of that foreign junk for you. :D

What's the plan for that beast?

(Manual is in Japanese because it's a JDM reel.)

If I were some bright young computer guy, I would add some kind of Language add on program or translation program to my computer.

If I were young and single, I'd find some good looking Japanese woman that like to fish.

I guess in my case, I fail on all accounts- but maybe you don't?

Yes it is JDM Japanese marketed only reel and post was "tongue in cheek".

It is an awesome winch and I am looking forward to beating it in a few days throwing pounders up north for trophy Skie!

It has the potential to be better than my Calcutta Conquest. Unbelievably smooth, unwound.

Bubbalouie, you win funny post of the week award! :rotflmao :rotflmao :rotflmao :rotflmao :rotflmao :rotflmao :rotflmao :rotflmao

How about likes to clean and cook fish? Can you say "Geisha"? :winker

LOL....

Love the Ryogas I have used musky fishing. I've never used the Shrapnel, but the low-profile version (Z) is probably the best reel I've ever used while musky fishing (I'd say better than the Conquest). Musky Baits has a ton of experience with Ryogas and the Z, he may be able to assist if you actually need help with the breakdown at some point.

Good Luck Up North!
