OMG to say the water is high is an understatement,it was literally 4" below the cat walks on the cal park ramps.I had to back almost to the exhaust of the suv to get the boat floating then it was water up to the door to get out.Water temp when I started was 54.5 and 56 when I left.As for fishing I looked at 87th first empty screen then the mouth of the cal same thing, went to the turnaround basin and marked a couple small bait balls but no perch, went upriver past crowleys a little more bait.Next I went out to the foghorn and cruised around marking nothing.I decided it was time to try some "history" fishing and pulled up some waypoints that were good 5 or so years ago and headed to the #2 red bouy, about another maybe 5 miles out. They were scattered in 44-46 fow and BIG.I ended up with 14 and all but 5 were jumbos. They were all lean so they were males or haven't been eating well. The bite ended about 11:00 and I tried another hour for the last fish with no luck.

maybe this weekend will bring some of that 50` water temps close to shore. Weather guys are saying it just might happen.

Went again today with a former member of the site, pretty choppy out there and the bite lasted maybe an hour or so right away and died out.Nice fish but not very many.Water was 52 degrees allover.Checked the inshore spots on the way back to the launch and no bait or perch marks.I'm wondering if the fish fed on the full moon last night, any thoughts on this?
