Went out with Bigfishross again today, the fish are in thick at the mouth of the little cal.We had our limits of nice sized fish and were in my driveway at 11:00.It was quite windy so we ran about ten drifts with my big windsock out. This is just my opinion but I think the bigger fish like the bait moving rather than hovering over them. All fish were 9"plus and meatier than previous trips and my last one was my first jumbo of the year just shy of 13".If you go early in the morning and launch at calpark be real careful of the metal catwalk at the launch it's like black ice on the road.

New to this whole perch fishing in IL. Is anyone willing to tell me about 87th & Navy Pier? I know where NP is but how do you fish them? Evenings or mornings? How about 87th? Is there a pier? Slips, etc Looking to take my boy out this wknd. However no boat.

Thanks

OK....the main slip is on 85th st & lake shore drive...free parking on the street...bring minnows and you can fish any time of the daylight hours .....Navy Pier has lots of parking but it you have to pay $5 and leave before 10 am or you will pay $26 for it......

Did a repeat today with Bigfishross. The fish moved a little from the other day and the bigger ones were about 150 yards further up in the river from the mouth. All the fish were nice chunky 10-11"ers and one jumbo. The action was fast and could have been home by 10:00 but it took forever to make that turn at 95th and stony island.
