A little bigger one this time

Caught on a size 12 rust color beadhead nymph. He took several good runs before I landed him. Fun times!

Yes, it's a St Croix Avid 9', 5 wt with an Orvis reel (I believe it's a Clearwater reel - I'd have to look at it)

If you're tying your own flies, I'll give you the recipe - it's extremely simple and only takes a couple of minutes to tie them up

Very nice, just curious. I've never targeted anything other than trout on a fly, carp would be fun.

For these size carp in ponds, the 5 wt is good - you just need to work them so you don't snap your tippet (Like I did yesterday!!!)

For the river, I use a 7 wt
