For those of you new to flyfishing (like me) or fly fishing wannabes (also like me), here is a description of a course I signed up for:

The goal of this class is to give you fly fishing skills to catch fish on flies that you have tied. You will learn the basics of casting, leader construction, knots, fly tying, and fishing techniques. You will be prepared to catch your first fish on a fly rod in the spring. A $45 material fee is included in tuition; a tying vice, feathers, hooks, and tools will be provided and will be yours to keep after the class.

Class ID: 3584

Tuesday 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm; 8 sessions starting January 29, 2013, ending March 19, 2013

Tuition: $160.00 Available Discounts Materials Fee: $45.00 (included in tuition)

Instructor: K. Anderson

You can sign up online at Community District 128's website - www.comed128.gov. It's listed under Adult Courses, Special Interest.

Come join the fun and learn. LZ
