I hit my local subdivision pond last night for a while. The fish were hitting like they had never eaten before!

I managed probably 6 bass, several crappie and a bunch of big bluegills. All were taken on a Clouser Swimming Nymph I tied using my dog's fur. In the water I'm sure it looked like a leech or something similar.

Biggest of the night was this 17"-18" incher. The pond is pretty weedy so I used my 7 weight with a 10 lb flouro tippet - which worked out well having to horse this fish out of the weeds.

Nice! Makes me want to get the fly rod out tonight. It hasn't come out of the truck in weeks.

Really nice fish. Your comment about using a heavier weight rod due to the weeds is well taken.
