I have been out every day since Sunday since this is "prime time". Sunday evening I actually took my 9 year old with me and shot over the back of a doe. Don't really care to shoot a doe this time of year but I figured for my daughters experience I would but I missed.

As for this guy things have been picking up and he showed up on the trail camera a few days ago. At first light I heard 2 bucks fighting in the woods about 30 yards away. I couldn't see them but when they were done one deer ran past me as fast as he could and I have no idea how big he was. I waited about 5 minutes for the "winner" of the fight to come by but nothing. I grunted and he came straight to me, a small 8 pointer. About an hour later I saw this 10 pointer crossing the field walking away from me. I grunted and snort wheezed which got his attention but he kept going. About 15 minutes later he came through the woods within 15 yards and I put a perfect shot on him. I got a little worried because there was very little blood. Rage 2 blade cut a huge hole however the skin raised up and covered the hole as he ran away. I found him about 70 yards where I shot him.

Congratulations that's a magnificent looking in buck. Too bad your daughter could not have been with you for that one!
