Anyone still going out hunting ?? I'm thinking about giving it a try on Sat. It is supposed to be in the 30's . I have hunted late season before , and actually gotten opportunities . Alot of times , if you can find the Deer , you will find a BUNCH of them . I know that in the Cook Co F.P. by my house , the Deer have herded up with Bucks and Does hanging out together .

I sure would like 1 more for my freezer . A late season harvest would be a beautifull thing .

I'll be out later this week with my crossbow. Two torn rotators ended my bow pulling! Good luck!

I'm still hunting but it's getting to be a long season. There is one buck I have my eye on but based on my camera he seems to be there every evening I'm not but that's my luck. Good luck they have to eat so look for the food.

I'll be out this weekend and next as Indiana's season goes until 1/5/2014. I'll be out there with my bow looking for a shooter buck but the county I hunt in also has a late antlerless firearms season too. Good luck to all.

I may head out the last weekend of the season with my bow and sit in a big blind while my buddy has his gun for late season. We probably won't shoot a doe but we'll go out just for the heck of it. We have too much standing crops to really still pattern the deer. I guess you just got to get lucky once.

I gave it the Ole Weekend Try . 4 sits , approx 4 hrs each and not 1 deer did I see . I tried 3 different stand locations , from on the edge of a bean field to back in the woods to the thickest section that we have . I know there are Deer around . There are tracks all along the field , and they are pawing up acorns in the woods . It's hard to believe that after 2-3 weeks of being left alone , they are still nocturnal . OH WELL , Thats why the big Bucks get BIG . Still 3 weeks left .

If I can find a place to hunt nearby this weekend I am going. New to this public land thing and still trying to figure out how it works.
