I recently picked an old fiberglass recurve bow at a garage sale for a couple bucks. The entire bow is covered in tape so if there is any information on it, I currently cannot read it. My question is, how do I know what size string to get for my bow? Is there a calculation based on the bow's dimensions that could help me out? Should the bow have this information on it?

My current thought process is to buy a string that fits, try it and then possibly get a shorter/longer one depending on how the bow functions. Any help would be appreciated.
