I have been shootin a few times now . Yesterday I shot a bunch of arrows . Today I fired off some more , and HOLY COW , was my shoulder sore . It's time to shoot regularly now . I wrecked another arrow today . Robin Hood got nothin on me at 20yrds . Time to move out to 30 then 40 and shoot the Bull . 40 is outside my comfort zone . BUT it's nice to know if you got a wide open chance at that range , you can make the " Shot of a dream "

Less than two months and then the fun starts! Can't wait until 10/1.

That muscle memory is always a little tough to get back. You hear about the people that shoot a few arrows a few times before the season and think that enough. That just spells disaster. I've made up a few exercises in the gym for the winter months to try and maintain and build a little strength. Not so much to pull back more weight but to hold back at full draw for longer periods of time. I'm usually in the gym 5 to 6 days a week so I just mix in a few exercises into my shoulder and back routine. I think it helps in the long run when it comes down to it.

Season is so close, I'm just hoping for some cool weather the first week of October!
