I know that every gun has its own preference for ammo. What have you guys had the best results from as far as smoothbore non sabot slugs? I read a lot of good reviews on Brenneke KO's. What are your thoughts?

Remington and Winchesters seem to work best out of our smooth bore Mossberg.

Federal tru balls have always out performed most other brands in my Ithaca deer slayer.

Believe it or not I'm still shooting Remington Sluggers out of my 20ga. I stocked up on them a few years back when I could get them dirt cheap. My shots are limited to about 75 yards but if I'm in the woods I really wouldn't be shooting much further than that anyways.

KO's are great been using them for years. I do hear good things about the Tru Balls though but never tried them.

I have three slug guns and each likes a different bullet. The one I shoot now is the Savage 220 (its a 20 gauge bolt action slug gun) and it like 3 inch Remington Accutips. 3" are tough to find in 20 gauge but its shoots very well out to 150 yards. I did a lot of research on the gun before I bought it and couldnt have been happier. I haven't taken a shot at a deer at more than 80 yards with a slug gun but its fun to be able to reach out at the range.
