Isn't there another barrell you can buy that would be set up for turkey and anything else besides deer? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Cabelas online has 26" & 28" vent rib barrels. Not sure if they have them in-store or not.

Why do you want another barrel?

Couldn't you just get a x-full or turkey choke for the barrel you have now?

So, I was at Cabelas this morning and I had a 28" wingmaster field barrel in my cart when I was walking by the rest of the remington barrels I noiced a 23" turkey barrel for 870's... Can someone tell me which one I should buy? I was planning on getting the 28" barrel and adding a full choke, but then I realized that the gloss finish on the barell would not match my current gun finish.

I would get the 28inch barrel, it will hold a better pattern then the shorter one. I run my 870 with a super full remington choke and 3" winchester extended range #6 and my 40 yard pattern is smoking. just my opion of course.

No! Slug barrel has open choke. Buy a 26 or 28 inch with adjustable choke. Then you can add chokes for various types of hunting. Extra full for turkey, full for duck/geese, modified/imp cylinder for upland game. A barrel like this one.

The slug barrel doesn't have a removeable choke.
