Last year we did a trip and it was a dud. 4 whitefish and 0 walleye caught. One of my buddies booked it again but with a different guide. Going with beer Alexander on Saturday. Anyone been out with him for late ice walleyes?

Anything we can expect or any tips outside of listening to him haha?

I wouldn't expect a lot of walleye action.

Reno,
I'm leaving for Sturgeon Bay today (2nd time) and once again I'll be fishing with Trophy Ice Fish for whitefish. Per Lonney's post today, they have been on them these past days and many large fish have been brought to the surface. On Feb. 2nd I caught my personal best at 27" approximately 6#. Good luck to you with Bret!

Thanks for the input. Here’s a report from yesterday. Hoping it’s close to this.

Reno,
Two of us fished 86' deep in Green Bay today and our yield was 9 whitefish average 2 1/2 #. Jig and paddle tail plastic took most of the larger fish. We will fish tomorrow also. Will report with an update on our progress.

By the way, the ice was 12" and solid for travel.

Great day today. 13 walleye caught in the group. I got. 26” and my buddy got a 25” fat pig mama. Check out my Facebook page for video and pics. Glad there was walleye action...

Ice was great too much to my surprise. 8” + in every hole we fished and they prob had 100 holes across a square quarter mile

Figured out I could screenshot my pic to lessen the quality.

Nice fish, Reno! I guess you could count on getting some Walleye...

If I ever have a picture file that is too large to post, I just text the picture to myself (I made a contact called "me"), save that file, and just use that file to post the pic. Works every time, takes seconds, and doesn't downgrade the file too bad.
