Newsletter and Repeat customer offer was emailed yesterday. If you are a repeat customer and did not get the offer, contact us for a special offer. I did not have emails from many. Here is the newsletter portion.

Brief 2020 recap - Even though 2020 didn’t get started until the last weekend of May and we missed much of the fastest coho fishing, it was the best year in 13 years for number of fish and best year in 11 for the size of fish. 2020 included runs of 9 trips in a row with at least 1 king over 20 pounds. 5 trips in a row with at least one king over 25 pounds. Over 10 trips in a row with at least one lake trout over 20 pounds. In the fall we had limit catches from late August to October every trip except two and one of those was cut short due to weather.

2021 Outlook - 2021 should be the same or better. Salmon stocking was slightly increased and the biomass of the bait fish continues a slow increase. Both size and numbers should be good. For 2021 we made substantial upgrades to Manipulator. The most obvious is new helm seating. We also are having new rudders being made now and the wheels (propellers) and shafts were redone. We also replaced and upgraded all the hydraulic lines in the steering system and had several engine gauges rebuilt and recalibrated. As usual, we have boxes of new flys and spoons, including experimental test patterns for some companies. We will be using new trolling boards which should have less resistance and were designed to give the angler a better feel for the fish on the long lines.

We encourage you to book a trip with us soon. Fuel prices are our biggest day-to-day expense. We will hold our rates until May 1. Any trip or trips booked before then will be at the current rates, which have not changed in over 3 years. The forecast is for marine fuel to be over $5.00 per gallon by June. This will require us to raise rates. But, any trip booked is run at the rates we have when the trip is booked. You can get a deposit to us and pick the exact date later and the lower rates will apply.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope to see you all on the lake this summer.
