Fished today for about an hour and a half. Right off the beach in front of the condo we are staying at. Caught redfish, whiting, lady fish, jacks, and this nice snook.

Saved some ladyfish for the sharks later...

No. Honestly thought about it but they catch some smaller stuff it seemed. I missed some bigger ones and even saw a few tarpon rolling. Apparently everything is pretty good on the beach right now. I laid on the beach with my wife today and watched a guy catch fish nonstop at 2 in the afternoon. I'm using medium action bass gear and all these fish are a blast.

Caught three of these guys while enjoying the sunset with my wife. Literally 15 seconds into the first cast and I got one. They run like crazy too.

Caught a few more sharks tonight. Lost something big that shook the hook. Came out of the water and looked like a snook. Definitely 30".+. Also caught a bunch of jacks, whiting, and smaller snook again today.

Here's a couple more shots. If anyone is going to that area in the next month just bring a medium light rod and you can catch fish all morning long. Caught jacks, whiting, ladyfish(preferred shark bait), snook, flounder, pompano and even a ray. Had heavier gear as well for the sharks. It was cool to be able to sit out and watch the sunset and catch sharks. Great trip to just relax before this baby comes in October.

saltwater fishing is awesome, never know what you are gonna catch and everything fights like a champ! Wait till you hook into a 4-6ft shark, pure muscle and speed. Last year I had something peel off about 350 yards of 50lb braid in about 20 seconds and I couldn't even stop it...
