Been kind of slow around here, so I figured I'd put a post up for the twins fishing the river in Grand Rapids. White swim baits on a 1/8th ounce jig. First limit on the Grand for them.

Now is the time to hit the rivers or creeks in Indiana too, while the water is low and clear. Perfect time to learn the deep holes for those June and July summer runs.

This one looks like it swam in from the Lake this morning.

Wasn’t a guided trip, but a captain on the Great Lakes and a brother that lives in Grand Rapids figured em out :winker

Beautiful fish I remember getting those in the creeks by Portage in my younger more mobile days.

Nice pictures. I have spent more time with worse results than any year I can recall. We had such great weather early November. We hit the Manistee. I must have said what a beautiful day a hundred times over 2 1/2 days with out a steelhead. Hit the Sheboygan twice brown trout no steel. Followed up with the St Joe in December nada. The Manistee and the St Joe were in the boat and we wade the Sheboygan. Cold water wading Frog Togg Steelheaders @ $200 are worth every penny. One of those wading trips the Sheboygan was running near 900 CFM. That's a lot of work for getting to be old man like me. Any one looking to learn more about steelheading I'd suggest YouTube Addicted Fishing. Although they fish and film West coast water their series has in depth technique "how to" for everything from plugs to beads to floats to bouncing. Anyway happy to see somebody is cashing in this year.
