anyone use the bear cat service on devils with brys guide service? we've got 2 days booked in late january and are stopping in brainerd for the jaycees extravaganza on the way home. oh yeah will be up in hayward fishing back country lakes the weekend before. a sort of ice fishing pilgrimage. i can't wait!

I spent the day from before daylight to just after dark on Devils Lake. Those guides run a pretty good operation. We caught a few nice eyes before the sun rose and a few more just after sundown. There rest of the day was a skunk.

Found out later that a little incentive goes a long way as to which house you get dropped off at.

this isn't being dropped off at a house. its a tracked heated 4 man vehicle that lowers to the ice, and you literally fish through the bottom. they bring a 3 man flip over as well. it's a little more expensive but almost ensures success which is key driving that far for a few days of fishing.

That sounds pretty sweet. My trip was about 7 years ago.

Ever consider the Northwest Angle? Exactly the same distance as ND with a lot less people. More of a walleye trip than a perch trip though. https://youtu.be/SkbuZfC06d8

It sounds like you're referring to the SnoBear. JAWZON Jim has one of those and it looks pretty sweet.

All you need is ten inches and you can fish anywhere or be a fishing star what ever works
