Hied is slow. I think the fish are just as confused as we are about this weather. LaSalle is about par for this time. Dink cats everywhere and some largemouth on the warm side.

I haven't heard anything so I'm not sure. More a comment: I always liked LaSalle to work on my planer board setups for suspended fish over deep water. It always good action with a lot of 2-5lb blues, and it gives you a chance to run your boards and make adjustments and helps with strike detection if you don't fish boards a lot like me. Plus there is always a chance at that 10lb striper crushing your lure.

Also Not sure if the 12mph wind rule is in place, but if there is any wind of any sort it may be closed. I'm not sure how they are handling it this year.

I was out there 2 weeks ago and it was blowing at least 20mph out of the southwest. Still only had the yellow flag up.

We had no tankers but alot of fun catching fish. I was restricted to trolling because batteries decided to go bad on the water.

Hit it saturday and caught a bunch of blues and small channels. No big blues. Water temps not too hot yet. Went back sunday and the ramps were closed. Drove over to braidwood and fished there.

thanks for the report John and ToddM sounds like you had some action which is probably more than most places can say. Hopefully this weekend is the turning point.

Out Tuesday with Getdanet John. Boated a couple blues over a pound, 50 or so small cats, 4 decent gills and a white bass. Not a bad day just wanted to hit a few hybreds but no go. Fished the west end of the 3rd pool in 8 to 10 fow then moved to the ne corner right next to the shore. Took the better blues trolling.

We were pulling cranks. Tail dancers were best. Bumping at the top of the humps and when it came off BAM

always fun to give the trolling gear a work out :)

I do agree LaSalle needs some attention to diversify it's fishing prospects. Braidwood at one time was the same way, of course Braidwood has bays, coves, and islands. LaSalle is a big giant wave machine in the middle of a cornfield.
