I was not expecting too much action as the water is warming up but I was surprised with quite a bit of smallmouth action. Last month I couldn't catch any but yesterday we caught at least a dozen. A lot of them had mouths with some damage so it was nice to see some fish are being released and caught again, and released again by us.

Thanks for the report

I agree smallmouth action has been way up this year - I'm catching more to them than any other fish out there including yellow bass. A lot of them are small but its good to see a population out there, a lot of fun.
