Sat was dead calm so I went to north side and picked some some eyes and crappie. Nerve racking because I had 2 inches of clearance. Monday with the winds predicted to blow 10 to 20 I didn't even try. It was a ligh breeze in the morning but started to blow and was wondering about all the boats that went north. Picked up a few fish but saw some boats at the ramp with damage from the bridge. Need to think went you see the weather with the high water.

I swear they moved that bar up - if the green part was still there it would be touching the water. I make it through fine but just feels tighter than it used too, maybe I'm getting old lol. A boat was sunk on the rocks on Tuesday night, DNR came out and helped drain the boat then towed it back in to dock, CPO was soaked must have had to get in 8)~ . Saturday around 10am when I was leaving it was 3 for 3 on boats tied up in the launch. I guess their owners went into Morris to get lunch judging by how long they were gone. So I've got both those spots on the Heidecke bingo filled in :)

Dang, you mean they were not tied up to the pick up/drop off pier?
Or at least tied to the non-launch side side of the longest launch pier.

This year, there seems to be quite a few local guys who sort of monopolize things at the launch...
I only fish Heidecke on weekdays, and this is the first summer I've noticed this happening {at least the 4 times I've been out}.

I'm pretty sure its not the locals :)

Its just a pet peeve I like to complain about, I laugh at it now as it's always been like this and won't ever get any better so you just deal and complain to feel better about it. You can launch 200 boats for a tournament in less than 30 min flat but good luck getting 8 boats out at heidecke on a nice weekend, nature of the beast.
