My mom sent me this picture the other day asking what kind of fish this is. She doesn't remember where or when she took it so that doesn't help much. She hikes and camps all over Wisconsin and also heads to Colorado and Virginia a few times a year. My first thoughts were bowfin or snakehead but I'm not very familiar with either specie. I thought musky too but the teeth seemed a bit large and flat. Any thoughts?

I second RiverRat. Definitely looks like a Bowfin. A bit of a bulldawgin Bowfin.
