Our third tournament of 2017 is Saturday, June 10 at NORTHPOINT Marina. You can begin the call in on channel 68 at 4:00 A.M. To register.

Tournament run time is 4:30 A.M. with lines in the water at 5:00.

All boats must be back in the harbor by 12:00 P.M. And be in line for the weigh in at the Salmon Unlimited Pavilion by 12:45 P.M.

We will have a barbecue, I'll update the menu when I hear what it is from the Tournament boat, which is Time Off.

Monitor our twitter account @SUIllinois for tournament weather decisions. Supposed to be a nice day.

Possible Small Craft Advisory for sometime on Saturday.
Oh NO!

That means a sunny day (but windy) and no tournament.
Hope the warning holds off until afternoon.

Our 3rd Club Tournament of 2017 saw flat seas and light winds, right up to about 10:00 A.M. and then the wind started to blow out of the SW and by tournament end we had white caps out on the big lake. That didn't stop the boys and girls from catching 228 fish with the predominant catch being cohos again. The Big Target Fish was a 14.2 LB King and the Big Fish of the tournament was a 23.3 LB Lake Trout. That Trout is now Big Fish of the year, so far. Congrats to all the winners!

We had 24 boats again, so thanks for coming out fellow members, these tournaments are more the merrier, so keep it up!

1st Place - Double Trouble, Captain Rob Renner, 91 Lbs for 201 Pts - $120

2nd Place - Fish N Crew, Captain Greg Williamson, 80 LBS for 195 Pts - $72

3rd Place - Something Fishy, Captain Dave Konczal, 76.4 LBS for 186.40 PTS - $48

Big Fish of Tournament Double Trouble, 23.3 LB Lake Trout, Captain Rob Renner - $240

Big 3 Tournament, Double Trouble 52.3 LBS - $350 (sponsored by: Advanced Automotive of Palatine, James P Maechtle Decorating, Duck Bill Charters, Jabber Jaws, Jack Olles, Ameriplate and Thermalcraft Inc.)

Big Target Fish, 14.2 LB King, Captain Pete Kica - $96

Top Rookie Boat - Something Fishy, Captain Dave Konczal

A big thanks to the crew of Time Off for the great beef sandwiches and fixin's, very tasty!

The season is half over, but we have plenty of great events left, see y'all at the next one on July 8th. Don't forget to enter our biggest Tournament of the year, Pass the Passion, held this year at Waukegan Harbor on June 23 and 24.

Once again, Great Job to ALL who work on these Tournaments!!!
My Grand Kids love playing in these tournaments.
The Boy's (2) and Girls (2) are alternating their times, so they all (4) - that live around here can play!

Mike, placed a couple of GoPro's on our boat this past weekend, so hopefully there is some good footage! I can't wait to see it myself.
Funny how easy it is to forget they were even there (watching every move).
We ended up 13 - 18, so there should be some good shot's, somewhere out of the 6 + hours of fishing.

Good Luck to All, when you venture back out on the lake!

Those kids seem so happy and fun at the weigh in. Watching them in action has got to be some great footage!
