Jim, do you really believe that those tried, true and proven tales about nature and fishing work. I mean, lilacs cannot predict fishing success just like the cranes that fly can't predict the end of an ice season. A little pressure on a mercury fill bulb cannot affect fish in any way that I can see. Plus if those fish are playing with that mercury we can't touch them anyway according to the smart people who use only science to alter their thoughts. I know that I have read somewhere about wolves howling at the moon, but do they also affect our fishing the next morning? I have never caught a fish with wolf hair, so I don't think there is much value in that line of thinking.

There is some opposite thinking that I may explore in the near future, such a reverse thinking. Let's just say that to ensure fishing success we put a hot pan of grease on the stove for our return from an adventure.........would that improve our fishing success?

Just wondering a bit.

I always thought it was a Chuck Norris kind of thing.

The crappies start biting when the Professor shows up and tells them to start biting.
